Media Page
The legacies and service of African American military men and women were honored at the groundbreaking ceremony of the restoration of the East 6th Street USO Club on February 20th. In addition to the groundbreaking, the African American Military History Museum was honored with the United States Congressional Black Caucus's 2008 Veterans Brain Trust Award.

The USO Club is the last surviving African American USO built exclusively for African Americans and houses the African American Military History Museum.
